Another Twitter Fail!

Blue Virginia brought this to my attention yesterday but I didn’t want to say anything until after Virginia’s 41st District House of Delegates special election was over.  A Congressman’s staffer tweeted on Election Day, “1st time I haven’t voted… simply couldn’t pull the lever for Bolognese who ran an abysmal campaign.”  This blows my mind.  Whether or not you believe Kerry Bolognese (R) ran a poor campaign, do not blast that message on the Internet before the election.  Bolognese currently trails Eileen Filler-Corn (D) by 37 votes (it is likely to go to a recount) so who knows how the tweet affected his followers decision on Election Day or Lowell’s post highlighting the tweet affected his readers.  While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I would like to think that Republicans wouldn’t try and intentionally sabotage each other.
