According to Arlington GOP, Mark Ellmore (R) has dropped out of Virginia’s 8th District Congressional race after only three weeks of campaigning.  Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) currently occupies the Congressional seat in the 8th District.

Another Twitter Fail!

Blue Virginia brought this to my attention yesterday but I didn’t want to say anything until after Virginia’s 41st District House of Delegates special election was over.  A Congressman’s staffer tweeted on Election Day, “1st time I haven’t voted… simply couldn’t pull the lever for Bolognese who ran an abysmal campaign.”  This blows my mind.  [...]

Recount Likely In VA’s 41st District HOD Special

Eileen Filler-Corn (D) currently holds a 37 vote lead over Kerry Bolognese (R).  Because the unofficial margin of victory is less than 0.5%, the state would pay for the recount if requested by Bolognese.

Sandy Evans Wins Fairfax County School Board Race

Samantha Rucker was defeated by Sandy Evans for Fairfax County School Board in Mason District.  Evans received 56.38% of the vote.

More Jobs In Frederick County

Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that Kraft Foods Global, Inc. will invest $40 million into the Capri Sun factory in Frederick County, which will create 100 new jobs.  While 100 jobs isn’t a significant creation, we hope it is a sign that businesses will continue to invest in Virginia.
