McDonnell Endorses Sen. McCain

Governor Bob McDonnell (R)  joined a long list of politicos who have publicly endorsed Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in his re-election bid.  McCain campaigned several times for McDonnell during his bid to become Virginia’s Governor.  McCain has come under heavy criticism from within his own party for being too moderate, specifically his support of the massive government bailouts. McCain hopes that the endorsements from McDonnell and conservatives Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney will shore up his conservative base.  McCain faces Rep. J.D. Hayworth in the primary.
