Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) has an all-time low 27% approval rating, making her extremely vulnerable in 2010. Lincoln will face stiff competition from both Republicans and Democrats in her re-election bid. As a blue-dog Democrat, Lincoln is viewed as weak on environmental issues by those within her party. Lincoln has publicly stated that she does not support cap-and-trade, as Arkansas would be impacted heavily by the increase in fossil fuel costs. While Lincoln smartly opposes cap-and-trade, it will definitely be a hot button issue in 2010.
