FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ARLINGTON, Va. – On Friday, Jan. 29, ProjectVirginia won Campaigns & Elections’ Politics magazine’s 2010 Reed Award for “Best Use of Twitter.”  The award, sponsored by Aristotle, was bestowed upon ProjectVirginia for its work with GOP Delegate candidates in the 2009 Virginia elections.

ABOUT THE REED AWARDS: According to Politics magazine publisher Jordan Lieberman, “[b]ecoming a Reed Award finalist is tough.  Actually winning a Reed Award is only accomplished by the most impressive creative political and public affairs talent in the world.”

*The other two finalists in the “Best Use of Twitter” category were the David All Group (DAG) and Disperse Interactive.

RESPONSE TO WINNING THE AWARD: “While we are grateful to receive this award, this honor does not belong to ProjectVirginia. It belongs to the VAGOP House Caucus, Speaker Howell’s staff, and to Virginia’s online GOP activists who, through their hard work and commitment, helped guide Virginia Republicans to victory in 2009,” said ProjectVirginia president, Ford O’Connell.
