The Harry Reid-Sharron Angle website war

Posted on July 8th, 2010 by Chris in Around The Nation, Social Media in Politics

Over the 4th of July weekend, Sharron Angle’s (R-NV) campaign sent a cease-and-desist order to Sen. Harry Reid‘s (D-NV) campaign saying TheRealSharronAngle.com breaks several laws and tries to deceive visitors. TheRealSharonAngle.com, which was started by the Reid campaign, re-posts some of the more radical positions that originally appeared on Angle’s website.  The Angle campaign also claims that the website tried to obtain personal information from the visitors.  The Reid campaign took down the website, but it re-appeared on Tuesday under the Nevada Democratic Party and only the screen-shots of her old website.  As Angle tries to move herself more towards the middle, it should be no surprise that the Reid camp is refusing to let Angle’s “extreme” positions fade away.
