This is not a new thing for the White House and its press corp. They have been using Twitter to spread the President Obama’s message since he took office. However, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has just begun tweeting – joining in early February. This administration has embraced social media and the Internet as a major news outlet. This should not have shocked anyone who watched Obama’s campaign masterfully use the Internet in 2008.
